I have difficult time finding sunglasses and hats that fit me, because I have a big head. These glasses fit amazing! It’s a constant struggle - finding glasses that I like, but they don’t fit. So, for that I’m thankful. However, I work as a cinematographer & photographer, and I spend a lot of time looking at optics & color, and these glasses present two issues.
When I put them on, I immediately get a slight disorienting feeling - leading me to believe like there is a very subtle fisheye effect on these lenses. It’s subtle, but noticeable. Additionally, I love the purple mirror finish, but the coating presents as a green tint when worn. My former sunglasses had a warmer tint which gave everything a slightly warm & saturated color. But, these present as a strong, cool, green tint from inside. This kind of sucks the color out of everything, making it seem “desaturated.” Whenever I remove the glasses, everything has a strong purple tint for a minute before my eyes adjust. Not a dealbreaker, just a bit disappointing.
